Vanished Lands d20

Have you ever lamented that there was no Cowboy class in D&D?
Have you ever said that the Sorceror class really needed something?
Have you ever wanted to play an Indiana Jones-style character and explore lost ruins?
Have you ever watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

Vanished LandsWell, our book has nothing to do with the last one, but I had to put a catch-all in. Our world is a post-apocalyptic view of the United States some 100 years or so after the Vanishing. What is the Vanishing you ask? On that fated day so many years ago, the world awoke to find that half of the population was gone. Planes without pilots fell out of the skies, cars without drivers crashed into trees, and people were left with half of their numbers gone. What does humanity do in such a situation? They panic. Panic lead to wars, wars lead to more destruction. Natural disasters remade the face of the planet. The weather changed and people found that once fertile land was now barren. People left the cities in order to find land that would support them. Now the world has changed. Technology has failed and is forgotten; even guns misfire most of the time. People have rediscovered the art of swordplay, and magic, however rare, has found its way back into the world. The wild west has returned; pirates have reappeared on the high seas; and in one civilization, the feudal system has found a new home. This world where you can fight on a gangplank in the morn, have a duel at high noon, and watch a joust in the evening is the world of Vanished Lands, and we, Ruminant Productions, would be honored if you would share in our vision of the world.

    Howdy Folks. Happy New Year!

When you think of the worst kind of human, what comes to mind? Nah not ferals, they aren’t even human, if you ask me. Personally, I think of bandits. Them low-lifes that roam out there where no civilized man or woman would dare. Preying on travelers, farmers, and even mailmen!
