Dear Cardinal Redinfield,
As you requested I have compiled a number of different pertinent documents for your use in creating a standard tome to present to members of the clergy as concerns those most evil of perils on our good earth, demons. The information you requested was, at some times, difficult to come by. Many of those of our order who you had instructed me to contact to initiate my search had suffered greatly and their mental faculties had deteriorated into a very frightening paranoid state.
Transcript of David Carrington’s interrogation Performed by Sergeant Robert O’Malley Performed on this day June 11th, 52 years After David: Yes, as I said before, no one is to be given credit besides me. Sergeant: As your confession is dully noted, and as I have been given permission by Countess Rachel Winters, the regional ruling official of this area at the behest of the Baron of the North, I will carry out your sentence as laid forth as just and right by the Postal Union. David: I do not recognize such offices or titles to judge me. Sergeant: Unfortunately you are bound by the laws of man here, Mr. Carrington. David: Not for long. Sergeant: That is true. Now that the formalities have been done with, I would like to speak with you in a more frank manner, Mr. Carrington. David: Only if you call me Simon will I answer you. Sergeant: Fine then, Simon. The Postal Union is interested to know why you killed these 13 people. David: They were the designated targets. Sergeant: Designated by who? David: My lord. Sergeant: G-d told you to kill those people, Simon?
Father Matthew When he awoke, several hours into the day, he was quoted as saying this by the attending sister: “I have been down and I have seen. They are legion. They are many. Their generals lead great forces to march upon our souls. They want us. They want our bones to build their world. They want our eyes to play their games. They want our skin for their clothes. They want our souls to build their world against ours. They want to be here, among us. Some of them are. They are terrible. You must not go to them. You must stay away!”
Local Fables Collection The Doom of Grant Recorded this year of our Lord 73 years after his Vanishing Then one night a different type of creature made its appearance to Grant. He had fought all manner of beast, driven off all types of bandits, but never had he faced something with as much cunning and guile as the creature he faced that night. It appeared to him as a man, garbed and hooded in all black. Grant mistook him for a member of the clergy. The creature spoke to Grant in friendly terms, asking him questions about himself, his parents, the town, and eventually Melissa. The creature, having never met Grant, was able to pry from him all his secrets within a matter of hours.
Conversation with the Devil “Because I know, Father.” He chuckled. “I know what is coming. You may not. I hear your sermons. All full of hope. Telling all the little people that everything is going to be okay. It’s… well, it’s cute.” He then smiled at me. His teeth were rows upon rows of sharp needles. His eyes were now glowing, less faintly. As the sun made its decent his features shifted. His face became a gross illusion of his once human form. I balked at what had become of my friend.
